So, for the first time in probably more than 18 years I have 85% of my art supplies together and organized in one place! It took about 5 hours worth of 20/10s but well worth it to get me back into the habit of doing art every day. Not having to search for things will help a lot. (Now I just have to get over that fear of screwing up a new scketchbook— I see I’ve got more than enough of those not to worry about that now that I’ve got them all together.)

Saw this as a single entry in an art challenge and thought I’d try something like it for the month of August. Not going to go for a 30 day one but a 4 week (+ 1) one instead. See if I can have a finished piece for each one by the end of the week.

Realized while working on the Hawkeye drawing that I get too detailed too soon instead of blocking in the large shapes first so I thought I should start doing warm up sketches with a marker. First attempt, Thor head shot— took about a minute to sketch on a 3x5 piece of matboard.
